Training - Base Built.

We are now 6+ weeks further into the year and I have completed my plan Training - Build my Base. Let’s review how it went.
Gym
Completed 10/12 sessions.
- Squats: Started at 46kg and successfully increased 2.5kg every single week, finishing the block at 61kg.
- Deadlifts: Started at 60kg and finished the block at 70kg after missing x2 sessions
- Physio work: Completed regular shoulder and calf work every session
Cardio - Running & Cycling
A bit inconsistent here but I focused more on the physio and gym work. In the end I completed:
- Running: 7/12 sessions
- Cycling: 6/12 sessions but I also got new bike so this was complimented by a range of small rides and a big one Capital City Trail-ish - Strava.com
What’s next?
Well, I typed this post with one arm in a sling and it will remain in a sling for at least another 4 weeks. Last Friday I had shoulder surgery to stabilise my left shoulder after I dislocated it 3 years ago during footy training. So the next 6 months will be heavily focused on my rehab complimented by some spin bike and some light running.
